As the rain forest is cut down, we lose natural resources for rubber which comes from the rubber tree. Many of the ingredients used to make soap, chewing gum and perfumes comes from plants that grow in the rain forest. As the forest gets smaller, we are forced to find ways to produce these products in other ways.
